The Art of the Quote

I find it fascinating that 7 out of 10 inquires about cd duplication or cd manufacturing sincerely ask "I want CDs and inserts - how much?"

Its reasonable to ask how much something costs, but to quote Napoleon Hill (Think & Grow Rich) be clear on what you want.

Things to include in your requests to any duplicator -
  • How many masters - is this a single disc or a multi-disc project?
  • How many finished pieces do you want? 1? 50? 100? 1000?
  • How do you see them being packaged? jewelcase? bulk? cardboard unit?
  • Will you need printed paper pieces?
  • Will you be providing images & text or will you be providing final composite artwork files?
Even if you've never done a project before, you do have an idea of what you may need. If through the course of quoting a project your needs change, the quote will change, you don't just have one chance to get it right.
